These terms apply to organizers who connect a Stripe payout account to accept paid event registrations on MyPickleball. By checking the acknowledgment box and connecting a payout account, you confirm you have read and agree to these Organizer Payout Terms and to Stripe’s Connected Account Agreement.
1. What this covers
These terms govern the relationship between you (the “Organizer”) and MyPickleball (the “Platform”) when you use the Platform to collect registration payments for your events. They are in addition to Stripe’s Connected Account Agreement, which you also accept during Stripe onboarding. Stripe processes payments and handles banking, identity verification, and tax reporting for your connected account.
2. You are the seller of your events
You are solely responsible for your events: scheduling, delivering, staffing, communicating with players, and honoring what you advertise. The Platform provides software to register players and route funds; it does not run, co-host, or guarantee your events.
3. Refunds, chargebacks, and disputes
- You own refunds. You decide and fund refunds for your registrations, consistent with the refund policy you communicate to players and with applicable law.
- You own chargebacks and disputes. If a player disputes a charge, you are responsible for the disputed amount and any associated fees. Because registration payments are processed as destination charges, the Platform may debit your connected account, withhold or offset against your current or future payouts, or invoice you to recover refunds, chargebacks, disputes, fines, or negative balances arising from your events.
- You agree to respond promptly to dispute and information requests.
4. Fees
- The Platform charges a platform fee of 2.5% on paid registrations (an application fee taken at the time of charge). Stripe processing fees also apply.
- Fees are generally non-refundable, including when you refund a player, except where required by law.
5. Payouts
Payouts settle to your connected account on Stripe’s schedule and are subject to Stripe’s verification, holds, and reserves. The Platform does not control or guarantee payout timing and is not your bank.
6. Taxes
You are responsible for determining, collecting, and remitting all taxes related to your events and earnings. Stripe issues tax forms (e.g., 1099-K) where applicable based on your connected account. The Platform does not provide tax, legal, or accounting advice.
7. Acceptable use
You will not use the Platform for fraudulent, deceptive, or illegal activity, for events you are not authorized to run, or in violation of Stripe’s restricted-business or prohibited-use policies. The Platform may suspend or terminate payouts, hold funds, or close your connected account for suspected violations or risk.
8. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you will indemnify and hold harmless the Platform and its affiliates from claims, losses, fines, and expenses arising from your events, your registrations, your refunds/chargebacks, your taxes, or your breach of these terms.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the Platform is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and its total liability for payout-related claims is limited to the platform fees it collected from you in the 3 months before the claim.
10. Changes
The Platform may update these terms. Material changes bump the terms version and may require you to accept again before continuing to use payouts.
