For communities
Create a group for your crew
A private home for your club or Tuesday-night regulars: channels, threaded chat, a roster, and events spun up from the group in one tap.
- 1
Create the group
Open Community and press New group. Give it a Group name and a Description, then choose Visibility: Private (join by code or QR only, the default) or Public (anyone can find it in the directory). Press Create group. A General channel is created for you.
Visibility cannot be changed later, so decide now. Public groups are discoverable, but people still need your invite link to get in.
- 2
Invite people
The invite card at the top of the group shows a QR code, the group's code and Copy link. Send the link or let people scan the code; they sign in and are in as members. Under Members, entering an email and pressing Invite adds that address straight away; the person sees the group the next time they sign in with it.
- 3
Talk in channels
Owners and admins can Add channel to split chat by topic (up to 20). Write in Write a message… and press Send; Shift+Enter adds a line. Attach a photo with the image button. Links are clickable, and the first YouTube or Instagram link in a message embeds a player. Press Reply under a message to start a thread. You can Edit your own messages; owners and admins can Delete anyone's.
Messages can be up to 4,000 characters and refresh every few seconds while the tab is open.
- 4
Roles and the roster
In Members, the shield icon toggles Make admin / Remove admin; admins can invite, manage channels and moderate. The Roster is your regular players, who do not need an account: Add player by name, optionally Link DUPR profile, and mark who is in the weekly lineup. Only the owner can Delete group.
- 5
Start an event from the group
Owners and admins see Start an event at the top of the group, which opens the new-event form. Groups running a weekly game also get an Upcoming games card with drafted sessions to Publish, Edit or Skip this week.
